Undead Butter Cookies
Even butter is better when it's deader...
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 and 2/3 cups all purpose-flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions:
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar until light and fluffy (or just mixed up will do, undead cookies don't go in for light or fluffy). Add flour and salt and stir well.
- Preheat oven to a hellish 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Roll out dough and use cookie cutter to make your army of the undead. (Be sure to tear off random arms and legs to simulate pre-baking zombie attack. Press walnuts into cranial area to simulate exposed brains.)
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden at the edges. Remove from cookie sheets and cool on wax paper. Use bakery markers to beautify and red gel to bloodify. Enjoy chomping heads and taking down your own zombie horde!
MEGAN’S TOP FIVE ZOMBIE SETTLING FASHION “DO’S”
(Featured March 09 Romantic Times Magazine.)From the world of "You are So Undead to Me" and "Undead Much?"
1. Wear comfortable shoes. Running in heels is for actress crime-fighter types who worry about their legs looking thinner on camera. Zombies don’t care about size, all legs are suitable for “nomming”.
2. Carry a light, fruity body spray to combat the funky smell of grave dirt. (Avoid musky scents like patchouli that tend to exaggerate The Stank.)
3. Ditch the sparkly earrings. You don’t want to be the one to test the “zombies are not drawn to shiny objects” theory.
4. Take a moment to pull back your hair. Even in cases where protruding ears might draw the attention of flesh-hungry corpses looking for small, cartilage-y snack, it’s still best to have your hair out of your face.
5. All black, all the time. It’s slimming, blends in with the night, and can easily go from sealing graves to making boys your slaves with just a little lipgloss. (And those sparkly earrings if you can find them. Boys definitely seem to be drawn to shiny objects.)
